2015 Newly Elected Officials Workshop Registration

  1. AACOG will hold a Newly Elected Officials Workshop on Friday, November 20, 2015, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in AACOG's Al J. Notzon III Board Room, 8700 Tesoro Drive, Suite 100, San Antonio, TX. The workshop is targeted for newly elected mayors and city council members or alderman; however, any and all elected officials and city staff are welcome to attend. The workshop gives an overview of the structure of city government, council procedures and actions, roles of elected and appointed staff, duties and responsibilities of boards and commissions, municipal annexation and boundary changes, open meetings, open records, and ethics. The workshops have proven to be very valuable to appointed staff and to citizen board, commission, and committee members as well. Complete the form below to register to attend.

  2. The cost for attending this workshop is $75, plus a processing fee of $5.17. Credit cards are accepted. The deadline for registration is November 17th. No cancellations will be accepted after November 17th, and a cancellation processing fee of $10 will be assessed if cancelling prior to November 17th.

    We must have at least 20 registrants to make the class - if we must cancel the class no cancellation fee will be charged.
