Call a Ride for Vets
The Alamo Call-A-Ride 4 Vets program is a transportation and mobility assistance program funded by the Texas Veterans Commission, Fund for Veterans' Assistance program.
Any honorably discharged Veteran, their immediate family (spouse, under 18 family member, or disabled adult in the home), surviving spouse, and/or caregiver of a Veteran are eligible to receive FREE rides.
What can Alamo Call-A-Ride 4 Vets do for me?The Alamo Call-A-Ride 4 Vets transportation program was re-started on July 1, 2016 and will continue through June 30, 2017. This program provides rides to eligible Veterans, their dependents and surviving spouses throughout the 13 county AACOG service area.
The program provides rides to medical appointments, grocery & pharmacy trips, and trips to social and religious events to improve the quality of life for our Veterans and their families. This is a limited rides program but also serves to connect Veterans and their families with other transportation resources in their local area.
