To provide technical assistance and advocacy in the following program areas: 

• Economic Development:  Provide technical assistance, research and data to both the public and private sector in the development of projects and plans, which create jobs and build a stronger economy.

• Community Development:  Assist cities and counties in developing public infrastructure, community facilities and parks and open space recreational sites.

  2009-2010 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) final scores and funding awards

• Leadership Development:  Provides workshop training to public officials in the areas duties, responsibilities, and growth management.
  Newly Elected Officials Workshop | Planning and Zoning Workshop

• Government Service Coordination:  Provides a point of contact to city and county staff and local elected officials on AACOG programs and resources.
