Weatherization Inspector
AACOG
This is a responsible, non-supervisory position, which requires oversight of work related to the AACOG Weatherization Assistance Program. Duties include assessing homes, conducting energy audits, and inspecting the quality of weatherization work performed on homes while also ensuring program compliance in terms of financial and installation per the U.S. Department of Energy, the Texas Department of Housing & Community Affairs, and other pertinent federal and state mandates. Requirements for the job include ability to understand and interpret state and federal policies, and the ability to communicate effectively (orally) in both English and Spanish. Prefer a high school graduate or its equivalent, plus certification in the state-mandated energy audits within one year of employment, and three years of related experience in housing construction and/or housing rehabilitation. Reliable transportation required. Nonsmoker. Salary $16.20 per hour. Hours 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., M - F. Closing date: Friday, February 12, 2010 at 4:00 p.m.
