Mental Retardation Care Specialist

 

Duties include receiving and responding to screening calls for service; performing intake duties; guiding consumers through the department services process; educating consumers, family members, and community agencies on services available through Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) and assisting consumers in applying for Medicaid and Social Security benefits.  Requires a bachelor's degree in behavioral science, plus one year of experience in delivering services to persons with intellectual developmental disabilities.  Bilingual preferred (Spanish). Non-smoker.  Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation required.  Hours 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., M - F.  Salary $16.20 per hour / $1296.00 Bi-Weekly.  Deadline for applying: Friday, February 12, 2010, 4:00 p.m.
