  1. Boerne Medicare Beneficiaries “Never Too Old to Play”

    Boerne Medicare beneficiaries are invited to attend “Never Too Old to Play,” a celebration to kick off Older Americans Month. The event will be hosted by Care Improvement Plus, Texas’ largest health plan solution for Medicare beneficiaries with chronic illnesses, together with the Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG), Adult Protective Services (APS) and Pride Home Health Services. Highlights of the event include:

  1. Free Legal Assistance for low-income seniors

    A partnership of the Alamo Service Connection, Bexar Area Agency on Aging, and the San Antonio Bar Association. Low-income seniors age 60 and above may be eligible to participate in the Legal Assistance program through the Alamo Service Connection, Bexar Area Agency on Aging. Seniors residing in Bexar County who need assistance with the preparation of simple wills, Power of Attorney, and/or medical directives can contact the Alamo Service Connection at (210) 477-3275 to request help.   1. Alamo Natural Gas Vehicle Consortium Inaugural Meeting

    You are invited to attend the inaugural Alamo Natural Gas Vehicle Consortium meeting at the Alamo Area Council of Governments on May 10, 2012. Those who want to advance natural gas as a transportation fuel or who want to explore using it in their vehicle fleet should attend.     The purpose of the Alamo Natural Gas Vehicle Consortium is to focus on expanding natural gas transportation markets and refueling infrastructure in the Alamo and South Texas regions (San Antonio, Laredo, Corpus Christi, and surrounding counties). This Consortium will utilize industry initiatives, government programs, energy education and community relations with the goal of highlighting domestic and abundant natural gas as a transportation fuel and reducing vehicle operational costs for fleets and individual consumers alike.
