Five-day Grantsmanship Training Program

The Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG) is pleased to welcome “The Grantsmanship Center Training” (TGCI) to San Antonio.  AACOG staff that have attended the seminar have seen a significant increase in the number of successful grant proposals. We would like to invite you to participate in this effective five-day course to be held March 28, 2005 thru April 1, 2005, from 8:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m.  The workshop will take place at the AACOG Board Room, located at 8700 Tesoro Drive, Suite 100, San Antonio, Texas 78217.

The Grantsmanship Center (tgci) is the leading source of grant-related training and information in the world.  Since it was founded in 1972, TGCI has conducted more than 4,000 workshops in every state, Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean and the Pacific.  TGCI has more than 90,000 graduates and alumni groups regularly meet across the country.  Through a new Membership Program, TGCI alumni receive continuous support after their training.

TGCI’s Grantsmanship Training Program was the first grantsmanship training ever offered.  Designed for both the novice and the experienced grantseeker, this intensive 5-day workshop combines expert instruction with practical exercises to take you step-by-step through all the stages of planning programs, locating funding sources and writing grant proposals.  Participants’ current needs and programs are the basis of all class research and proposal writing exercise.
