Resources

  1. Ozone is an important air pollutant which puts the health of our community at risk. Many areas of the country were declared in violation of the older "1-hour average ozone standard" promulgated in 1990, including the Texas regions of Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston-Galveston, and Beaumont-Port Arthur. The San Antonio area continues to meet the 1-hour ozone standard but is in violation of the 8-hour ozone standard.
