- Program Name: Adopt-A-School Bus Program
Funding and Sponsoring Agencies: Cooperative partnership between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, state agencies, local agencies/elected officials, and corporate sponsors.
Program Description: The program
was implemented to provide school districts with funds to replace their aging,
diesel school bus fleets with new clean fuel buses.
Participation Eligibility & Requirements: No restrictions
Reduction Methodology: Replace aging diesel buses with clean fuel buses
Costs: Financial contribution to the program
Benefits: Improves health of school children, reduces air pollution, and corporate sponsors are recognized for their contributions

- Program Name: CPS Windtricity Program
- Program Description: Windtricity™ is a voluntary renewable energy option for CPS customers to purchase electricity generated by wind-powered turbines in West Texas. Windtricity is available to all retail customers in good credit standing with CPS. It is sold in 100 kilowatt-hour (kWh) increments or "blocks" of energy.
- Participation Eligibility & Requirements: Windtricity has no long-term contracts. You may increase or decrease the amount of wind power you purchase, cancel your membership, subscribe or re-subscribe at any time.

- Reduction Methodology: Decreases reliance on fossil fuels to generate power.
- Costs: Decreases reliance on fossil fuels to generate power.
- Benefits: Offsets the additional cost of wind generation relative to fossil fuel-based plants, and helps to support CPS' future efforts to promote renewable energy.
