Bexar Mental Retardation Authority

The Bexar Mental Retardation Authority continually strives to offer access and choice to adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families:

  • Choice of services and supports

  • Choice of providers

Our mission is to ensure people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who live in Bexar County receive necessary quality services.  Our core values include individual worth, quality, integrity, dedication, innovation, teamwork, education, and family.

Consumer Choice
The development of a provider network will provide consumers with choice and access to services.  AACOG will ensure choice, access, and best value.

Consumer Input

With input from consumers, families, and other stakeholders in the community, the Bexar MRA will continue with the development of a network of providers.

Consumer Access
The Bexar MRA will provide consumers with convenient access to services.

Consumer Driven
Consumers are to be active partners with the Bexar MRA in treatment planning, policy-making, and local planning.
