Getting Around Bexar County and the Surrounding Alamo Region: A Mobility and Transportation Guide for Older Adults and Persons with Disabilities: NOW AVAILABLE!

This 43-page revised guide to getting around the Alamo Area is NOW available to clients, caregivers, and helping professionals interested in mobility resources in the Alamo region from the AACOG Alamo and Bexar Area Agencies on Aging mobility program.

This new version of the mobility guide is completely revised from its predecessor originally published in 2012, with current information on local transportation resources and supports for older adults and persons with disabilities. It also provides assistance for older adults on maximizing driving skills and for caregivers assisting older drivers. The guide does focus on transportation in Bexar County, but it includes the services such as ART in the AACOG region and the general information on driving is applicable to all regardless of location.

It is FREE and available from AACOG in large quantities for distribution to clients, caregivers, and helping professionals. Feel free to share this e-mail with your networks. To receive a box (75 per box) for distribution, please contact Siena Lindemann, Regional Mobility Manager, at: slindemann@aacog.com or (210) 362-5217.
