December 2005 A series of special reporting milestones for the sixth Semi-Annual Report for all Early Action Compact areas were handed down by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In a memo dated October 17, 2005 from G.T. Helms, Group Leader, Ozone Policy and Strategies Group in Research Triangle Park, the EPA outlined a series of requirements for reporting progress in implementation of control strategies named in the State Implementation Plans developed under the EACs for each region. One of the requirements in the EAC protocol was that these control strategies would be implemented no later than December 31, 2005. The deadline for the final version of the Sixth Semi-Annual Report is December 31, 2005.
