Bexar Area Agency on Aging
Grandparent/Kinship Program Support Groups

The Bexar Area Agency on Aging is offering support groups for grandparents or older relatives who are raising children under the age of 18. The groups offer open discussions, guest speakers who focus on issues affecting grandparents or other relatives who are raising children, information on resources available in the community, and advocacy.  Grandparents and kinship caregivers can share with one another their knowledge, strengths, and hopes.  Transportation and childcare can be provided for Grandparents and Kinship Caregivers 60 years and older upon request. For more information about transportation and childcare, contact Nellie Garay at (210) 362-5271.
