According to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, high concentrations of ozone can cause a shortness of breath, coughing or wheezing, headaches, nausea, as well as throat and lung irritation. The LiveGreenFest Clean Air Drive event will provide free air quality and health information, including how to know when ozone pollution might reach harmful levels in our area and how to protect those who are especially susceptible: children, the elderly, and people with respiratory conditions.
In the San Antonio area, vehicles traveling our roadways are the largest single source of the air pollution that creates ozone.
